Tony Callero

Tony Callero joined the Wenatchee Bighorns in February 2024 as an assistant coach. Working with the Bighorns will help him learn the game at a new level as well as a way to take part of the growing and continued basketball legacy in the valley.

No stranger to the Wenatchee Valley, Callero is best known for being head varsity boys basketball coach at storied Chelan High School.

Callero began his coaching career at Ellensburg High School after playing at Central Washington University. Prior to being named the head coach at Chelan in 2020, Callero coached at Auburn High School where he taught English from 1999-2020. He also spent a season as an assistant at Seattle University under his older brother Joe.

Callero has been the director of numerous leagues and camps and has experience as a scout and writer for PrephoopsWA.

His wife, Nikki, is also a full-time employee of the Lake Chelan School District. They have three adult sons. Callero is one of 16 children.
