The Wenatchee Bighorns have turned their season around with two convincing home victories over the weekend. After a disappointing 1-5 start to the season, the Bighorns defeated the top-ranked Salem Capitals 125-98 on Friday. They followed it up with a 98-82 win against the formidable Great Falls Electric on Saturday.

The Wenatchee Bighorns professional basketball team had suffered a three-point, nail-biting loss to the Seattle Super Hawks in their season opener a week previously before hosting back-to-back home openers at the Chelan Community Center on Saturday and Sunday against the Emerald City Jaguars (Eugene, Oregon) and Super Hawks.

The Wenatchee Bighorns faced a narrow defeat in their season opener against the Seattle Super Hawks, with a final score of 106-103. Tremont Robinson-White led the team with 29 points, while Gavin Long, coming off the bench, added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bench players Massi Boye Jeanneau-Mubiala and O’Landa Baker each scored 10 points, contributing to the close contest.

The Wenatchee Bighorns are set to begin their training camp this week, with 22 players invited to compete for up to 12 spots on the team's roster. This marks the Bighorns' second season in The Basketball League and their first under head coach JP Davis. The camp is expected to be highly competitive.

Wenatchee native Shawn Cooprider was named the managing owner alongside Anthony Williams Sunday.  

The upcoming season will be the second for the Bighorns in The Basketball League (TBL), but an announcement from the team says the change in ownership will bring the organization back to starting from ground zero.
