About Us

Wenatchee Bighorns is a Professional Basketball team based in Wenatchee, WA playing in the TBL “The Basketball League”. The Bighorns are gearing up for their first season starting on March 2nd, 2023.

Where did the “Bighorns” name come from?

Chances are, if you take a drive down the highway here in the Wenatchee Valley, you’re likely to come across a herd of Bighorn Sheep roaming the area.  It’s so common that there are flashing road signs indicating their presence. This is where we got our name, The Wenatchee Bighorns.  We found importance in choosing something indigenous to the land here in the valley, giving our team a local impression.

Mission

Wenatchee Bighorns – We are committed to bringing high quality, affordable entertainment, and opportunities for all ages in our community. We believe in the importance of bringing people together in a special way such as this. We intend to support as many people and businesses on our journey as we can, so we can all grow together. Whether it’s kids camps, local events, or even promoting your brand we want to help this valley thrive.

Anthony Williams:  Chief Executive Officer/Team Market Owner

Anthony Williams grew up in Washington state and has an extensive background with nearly 40 years of experience in baseball and football. He has played professionally for the Washington Shockwave and has been a professional coach. In 2009, Anthony became the Director of Marketing for the Wenatchee Venom arena football team and made history as the first professional football franchise to operate, entertain, and serve the Wenatchee Valley. He is grateful for and in part attributes his expertise to his mentor, Rich Austin, who was the general manager of the Portland Trailblazers and is now the Director of Sports Development at Yakima Valley Sports Commission.

For Anthony, serving communities and people are his #1 priority. He has served with the AmeriCorp Vista, supported homeless shelters and food programs, brought literacy programs to schools, and served on the board at Wenatchee Valley College.

As a TBL Team Market Owner, Anthony is committed to bring the best experience possible to the partners, players, and fans of the Wenatchee Bighorns. Anthony contributes his many talents to help make them a success including the development of marketing plans, marketing campaigns (i.e. radio and internet television spots), contract negotiation, recruitment strategies, and player and coaching staff support.
